Room 1 sleeps 2 guests & is located on the first floor main landing & boasts beautiful view across into our riverside garden. This room has a King sleigh bed & can also accommodate an infant cot if required.
Have any special requirments for your visit. Hopefully these topics will answer your questions. Still unsure? Not problem, give us a call, or send us a message and we’ll be more than happy to help!
We have a number of z-beds and sofa beds so that families with children can share their parents’ room at a small additional charge. In addition we have baby facilities with cot, highchair etc available for loan free of charge.
Rooms 11, 12, 16 and 17 are our only rooms for guests with dogs along with our 3 seasonal yurts situated in our riverside garden. These are all accessed directly from outside without needing to walk through the hotel. Rooms 11, 12 and 17 open onto a private, enclosed, covered porch area that is available exclusively for residents’ use.
There are many beautiful dog friendly walks in the surrounding countryside.
Our Inn is very dog friendly, welcoming our 4-legged friends in all our bars and lounge, where our full dining menu is available.
Residents can chose to take breakfast, lunch and dinner in these areas with their dogs.
Check out is 11am, bill payment is the previous night (due to Coronavirus).
Our morning staff open up at around 7.15am/7.30am each day. If you wish to check out earlier please leave your key at reception and exit via the main hotel door. Please ensure all bills are settled the night before you check out. We understand that this is a change for returning guests but unfortunately is necessary due to Covid 19 to prevent guests grouping at reception in the morning. If you need to occupy your room later than normal checkout time, we will do our best to accommodate you. We are also happy to store luggage so you can enjoy your last day to the full. Unreturned keys will incur a charge of £15.
Breakfast is served in our dining room between 8am and 10am. If you have an early start and need an early breakfast, we will do our best to accommodate you. And can provide breakfast bags the night before. Due to Covid 19 you will need to book a slot for breakfast – we apologise for the inconvenience with this. If you are visiting with a dog and would prefer to eat your breakfast in the bar with them please let us know the night before and we can set you up a table.
If you are going out for the evening and are likely to be back after 9.30pm, please tell a member of the team before you leave. They will be happy to give you codes and instructions on getting back into the building could we be closed when you want to return. We don’t want you to get locked out so please let us know.
We offer free WiFi for our guests in the bars and lounge. Unfortunately, because of our location, the broadband signal is not very strong. We have done everything we can to get connections to the rooms (short of getting our own satellite fired into orbit) but this is not always reliable. We are assured by BT that the coverage to our area will be improved in the coming investment in our area…. But this has not yet occurred. We know it can be frustrating, especially if you have come from a town and are used to fast connection speeds. If you have any problems, please speak to us and we will do what we can to help. This includes if you do not have mobile phone coverage as this is limited to EE and a few lucky others. You are more than welcome to give someone our landline number for them to call you if you have an urgent call. You are also welcome to call out from our landline if necessary. If you need to borrow a phone for out of hours, we have one you can borrow. Please let us know if there is anything we can do.
Due to our location, we only receive mobile telephone signal from Orange and associated networks. We have a land line telephone which residents can use and can also offer loan of an Orange mobile telephone for use during the night for guests who need to be in touch at all times.
Room 11 is our best disabled access room, with grab rails, large walk-in shower with seat and plenty of room for a wheelchair. Rooms 11, 12 and 17 are situated in our annex on the ground floor directly outside our bar entrance. Each of these rooms opens onto a private, enclosed, covered porch area that is available exclusively for residents’ use. Room 16, also located in the annex, has just a few steps outside the door which makes it unsuitable for wheel chairs but it can be ideal for guests with reduced mobility. Rooms 14 and 15 are situated at the rear of the hotel with independent access from our car park. They have a few more steps leading up to the entrance doors but can again be suitable for guests with reduced mobility. We have full disabled access to both our bar and lounge areas and restaurant and are happy to accommodate those with special needs.
Before confirming your reservation we strongly recommend that you telephone the hotel to discuss your specific disabled/accessibility requirements as each of our ground floor annex rooms are different and have different facilities. We will happily advise which rooms offer the best facilities for you. during the night for guests who need to be in touch at all times.
Please enjoy our beer garden over the road and our courtyard outside of the bar area. You can also cross the bridge and take a stroll down our forest garden where we have free-range chickens, resident red squirrels and much more wildlife, including fresh water crayfish in our SSSI (site of special scientific interest) river. Please made sure all dogs on their leads at all times and all gates are closed behind you so our chickens don’t become a dogs dinner. We have a selection of garden games available on request (a small deposit will be required and returned after safe return).
Please ensure all dogs and children are supervised at all times in our garden and dog poo is picked up and put in the bins provided. The garden has a full forest, wild animals and a river – all of which can be extremely dangerous. We are happy to serve food and drinks in the garden and our courtyard area.
Both are available on request. We do not provide cot bedding.
