Prince Charles at the Black Swan

Blue skies and sunshine prevailed when Prince Charles came to Ravenstonedale in March 2008. He visited the Black Swan Hotel in connection with his 'Pub is the Hub' initiative.

The Black Swan had recently opened 'The Village Store' 20 years after the last shop in the village closed. The new shop really has breathed new life into the village and is well supported by locals.
